Following the match, coach Luis Enrique clarified during his press conference that their goal against La Dea on Wednesday evening wasn`t to send a message to other European clubs.
«Our intention wasn`t to send a message. We simply aimed for a strong start in this competition against a defensively sound team. We performed exceptionally well against a side that plays man-to-man, and I believe our victory was well-deserved. While there are still areas for improvement, I was pleased with the team`s mindset and the intensity we displayed. We generated numerous scoring opportunities and successfully overcame their high pressing.»

«I observed the first half from the stands because it offers me a superior vantage point of the game. I watched the team effectively bypass Atalanta`s press with remarkable skill. It`s easier from up there to discern the opponent`s tactics and their pressing strategies. However, I won`t employ this tactic for away matches, purely for safety reasons!»
When questioned about whether Les Parisiens could realistically aim for a top-eight finish this season, which would allow them to bypass the February play-off rounds, the Spanish coach sought to manage expectations.
«We don`t truly have a specific objective, as our schedule, as you know, is quite distinct from others. Achieving five wins and a draw will be exceptionally challenging, considering we face the toughest fixture list in the competition.»

Tras el partido, el entrenador Luis Enrique aclaró durante su rueda de prensa que su objetivo contra La Dea el miércoles por la noche no era enviar un mensaje a otros clubes europeos.
«Nuestra intención no era enviar un mensaje. Simplemente buscábamos un buen comienzo en esta competición, contra un equipo que defiende bien. Jugamos excepcionalmente bien contra un equipo que defiende hombre a hombre, y creo que nuestra victoria fue bien merecida. Aunque todavía hay áreas por mejorar, me gustó la mentalidad y la intensidad que mostramos. Creamos numerosas oportunidades de gol y superamos con éxito su alta presión.»
El entrenador asturiano, una vez más, pasó la primera mitad del partido observando desde las gradas, antes de unirse al banquillo después del intermedio.
«Observé la primera mitad desde las gradas porque me ofrece un punto de vista superior del juego. Vi al equipo eludir la presión del Atalanta con notable habilidad. Desde allí es más fácil discernir las tácticas del oponente y sus patrones de presión. Sin embargo, no emplearé esta táctica en partidos fuera de casa, ¡puramente por razones de seguridad!»
Cuando se le preguntó si Les Parisiens podría aspirar de manera realista a un puesto entre los ocho primeros esta temporada, lo que les permitiría saltarse las fases de play-off en febrero, el técnico español buscó moderar las expectativas.
«Realmente no tenemos un objetivo específico, ya que nuestro calendario, como saben, es bastante distinto al de los demás. Lograr cinco victorias y un empate será excepcionalmente desafiante, considerando que tenemos el calendario de partidos más difícil de la competición.»
